Week of Dec 11th 2010 Beer Menu

Hey Now! Hola amigos and welcome to this week's beer menu for the newly launched Rockville Centre Press 195. So far so good and we are thrilled to be here. The reception has been great and we are happy to introduce some great new brews to our fans! New this week, and one of my favorites, is the malty and delicious Blue Point Winter Ale. A draft of this works well with a bowl of our famous veggie chili, helping to simmer the spice!! Bottle wise we welcome the seasonal Magic Hat Winter from our friends up North. As the Magic Hat brewery welcomes new owners, I definitely feel the quality has picked up again and one swig confirms my theory. Also new to the list is Innis and Gunn from Scotland. This classic ale is aged for 30 days in oak barrels and that just puts it over the edge for me. A must have in my book!

WELCOME TO RVC PRESS 195 BEER BLOG

Welcome to the Rockville Centre beer blog. We welcome you to take the journey with us as we open our third Press 195 restaurant. A brand new beer system has bust been installed. We are going to feature 8 selections that will continually rotate. We are proud to say we will be utilizing a Micromatic blender box to ensure our customers receive the best possible product. This prodict controls the amount of nitrogen and carbon dioxide that is blended with the beer. Outdated systems utilize simple CO2, newer systems utilize a G-Mix Blended gas. The best possible ratio is a 60% nitrogen and 40% CO2 blend, only obtainable with a blender box.

We look forward to featuring local breweries and tasty treats from around the world. So join us as we take off on this beer venture......
